So as I'm learning as much as I can; I found this on YT

What do the proffesionals think of this.

My garage is small; but this looks so damn quick and easy; rather than rolling

the guys also mentions mohair/lint free. in HD I remember seeing lambswool? arnt all rollers lint free?

I use notched squeegees. Its easy, and consistent. You can cover a lot of ground this way, opposed to dip and rolling it.. I get mine from Mid West Rake.

Good idea to duct tape and pull tape on all your rollers to keep the fuzz out.

That works. I usually wash my rollers in solvent compatible with the finish instead.

Good rollers (Purdy) don't have much lint. Cheap ones can be awful.

I'm gonna get a notched squeegee next time. Is there a rule of thumb for notch depth for using 100% solid epoxy to get, let's say, 10mil thickness?

Yeah I have good luck with Wooster or Purdy rollers and brushes when it comes to painting my home. Cost a bit more but pays off any frustration that you may having with using cheaper products.

doesnt it depend on the paint?

the datasheet for mine says 13-30mil

I would not advise applying your epoxy over 20 mils without broadcasting some type of aggregate or media into it.

12 mils is fine for 100% solids, be careful going too much over that.
