Obd2 scan tool for TCM transmissiom reset

Hi all,
i am in the market for a OBD2 scan tool that can read and reset transmission code DTC. I am currently using one from HF and it is only providing me a generic code. i have done some research and i am leaning towards Launch CRP123 and autel maxidiag md802 all system, however i am open to suggestions as long as it is within those price range. i will be using it mainly for japanese cars and VW and BMW. any help is appreciated. thanks!

You can go laptop based Delphi diagnostics, that will be perfect for what you need and is reasonably priced on Ebay or Amazon!

Delphi does engine management, abs, airbag, imobiliser and TCM diagnostics and reset, also some manufactorers radio codes, it can do a lot more than this.
So far it's been a great piece of kit to use, I've diagnosed a blown turbo with it, reset diesel injectors, amongst other diagnostics on an airbag and some abs faults.

Or another option is RossTech's VagCom!

I have the MD802 ............gives the same data list and function as the HONDA factory scan tool. It works on the Mercedes Sprinter as well which is no small task as MB is NOT compatible with almost every generic scan tool and many full feature scan tools do not "talk German".

Autel support can be variable based on where you buy the tool. Evidently there are bootleg copies of the of the AUTEL.

thanks for the info. it seems the delphi is too pricey for me.

is the md802 capable of reading transmission code (dtc), enhanced. also, can it erase transmission dt?
