Odd armstrong wrench

Anyone have any ideas on this? I cant find it anywhere on the net. pre 46 I think. value? I dont think its that common.

Value to you priceless and worth more then all the gold in Fort Knox...Value to me a few dollars at best; even though I love old vintage wrenches I don't spend much on them.

Looks like Procunier made/ makes tapping heads, and that they came with wrenches. Sometimes cheap wrenches, sometimes old engineers wrenches, sometimes hard to tell .

It's a cool old wrench in an odd size, but I don't think I'd pay $19.00 for it, personally.

600 numbered wrenches are usually Check Nut wrenches. The same numbering system was used by multiple brands including Bonney, Fairmount, Williams , etc., although there can be variations between brands with some individual numbers. Check Nut wrenches are usually single open end wrenches, with a 15 degree offset, and a thinner jaw thickness, sometimes thinner than tappet wrenches.

Martin and Proto still manufacture a number of Check Nut wrench sizes in both SAE and Metric. Armstrong still manufactures a more limited number of sizes, but I think only in SAE. The Martin number for that Check Nut wrench is 605A. The letters are usually used to identify different sizes that may have been made from the same forged blank. "Special" is also sometimes stamped into the wrench to identify variations.

Very handy to have. I'd probably pay around $10 or less for something like that. You can buy them new for $15.
