I picked this up the other day and have never seen one quite like it, but that means little.

This is a "Century" disc brake micrometer.

Its kinda cool in that it has a pressure sensitive contact that triggers an LED when the supposed proper "pressure" is reached for reading the rotor thickness.

It does seem to work. It has a range of about 0 to 2 inches and reads in a non-electronic digital display in both English and metric.

It also has a listing of rotor specs up to about 1989.


To me its more of a collectible thing than anything but I guess you could use it for actual brake work?


I certainly dont need it.

Is it worth $35.00, or best offer? It may be worth "0", I dont know, but its a bit of a conversation piece.
