Offset Pipe Wrench

Aside from the flats, my main plumbing wrenches are pair each of Alum. 14 and 18". Only used the 24 sparingly

In what instances would a offset pipe wrench be applicable (just a weekend warrior here)

Reminds me of the Knipex Cobras.

I tend to grab my Channellocks...never have used any of my full set Cobras/ flats or teeth. However, there was this 1 time, it was a tight access and indeed, the Cobra's did come handy for the 1 time I've -really used them-

I have used them on an air system that was installed in a concrete service trench when I did not have enough room to swing a straight pipe wrench.

45 degree offset or 90 degree offset priceless in tight spaces .I have both offsets. I do a lot of water riser repairs and there are definitely places where a reg wrench won't fit in a 2 x 4 wall and a 2" riser

I have a 45 and a 90 degree offset Ridgid iron 14" wrenches. I've gotten them for free from different relatives down-sizing for moves, and I've been holding onto them in the hopes that they may end up being indispensable one day.

That being said, I can't say I've ever used them. My conventional aluminum wrenches have fit all of my needs so far.

I have 14,18 and 24 inch aluminum offsets. Use all of them for work. Pipe in a cabinet. off set goes straight in. I use them inside a gas pump.
