Oil Saturated Concrete

Hello,

There seems to be a lack of information on floor coverings in an oil saturated concrete environment.

I'm coming into a house that has standing oil on the concrete for years. After cleaning it with solvents or degreasers it will seep back to the surface in about a week.

The POR15 Floor Armor product indicates its cleaner will
"Neutralizes grease & oil stains and lets Floor Armor penetrate and lock into microcellular structure of cured or aged concrete with Polydigital penetrating action."
Is this a true claim? Has POR15 Floor Armor fixed the hot tire lifting?

Can anyone suggest a product that can be utilized in this situation or provide any insight?

Thanks
-William

The miracle product POR-15 will do it all and if it does not, well you applied it wrong because anything with all those dazzling big words in its description must work. What was that saying...if you cant do it, dazzle them with B.S.

Concrete is not a sponge, keep cleaning it with your degreasers and it will come clean.

Go after the old oil with dry clothes detergent. Pour it on twist in with the foot and let it sit as long as possible. The soap will pull a lot to the surface and into it's self. Wash with hose when done. And garage will smell spring time fresh!

Cat litter has worked real well for me. When that doesn't work you might consider oil eating microbes.

It's actually live enzymes that eat hydrocarbons. You spread it over the oil stained area and let it go to work for a few days. The stuff is amazing. We don't sell too much of it, but everyone who's used it raves about it.

Thanks for all the advise.

Anyone know if the lifting issues have been resolved?
