To all of you who work so hard in life, especially fleet mechanics, my father was a fleet mechanic for the Village of Oak Park, IL. for 27 yrs., all I have seen my father do is slave. Should of had a title, villages started hiring peeps from different towns and you didn't have to be from the town anymore, this was in the 80's. My Father was the best. I, when I was a child will never forget the calls for him to fix the Zamboni, at Ridgeland Commons, where my sister and I skated and played many different rec games at. I will never forget seeing my father under the garbage trucks, and fire engines and more, maggots, falling on him, and always the smell of diesel on him, he never complained one bit, but we all knew he was so frustrated, cause of village change and politics. I am sure there is a lot of you wonderful men out there that had to sacrifice and keep your will at bay and have these towns start to take on others companies in order to cut the fat, screw all of them, watched my Father die, so proud, still so young at 71 had RA, and many others problems, but he gave it all and was the best, of best.
