I probably bought these saw at Sear back in the 70's and they are still going strong. Anyone remember this old color scheme that was used?

Wow! Those are ugly!
No offense meant. I have a B&D Jigsaw that might be older than the one shown. Mine might be smaller, and the body is all shiny metal. Pretty sure it’s over 50 years old

"Harvest Gold" is, I believe, what the called that color scheme. That color showed up on everything (tools, appliances, etc.) 1970s blast from the past... (I was born in 1975)

Actually i think that color is Avocado Green. Harvest Gold is the yellow color of that timeframe. Also burnt orange.

All better colors than that Tobacco (or Tudor) Brown from the 60s

Haha....yup, that color is Ugly but hey....they still work fine. I'm getting my money's worth. I don't know of any power tool nowadays that would last that long. Most things in this day and age are through away and buy new.

I had a metal circular saws before I bought the ugly ones but gave it to my neighbor. He kept borrowing it so I gave it to him.

I had the drill of that generation. Worked great until I left it balanced on a duct in the basement. I tripped over the extension cord, which yanked it down onto the concrete floor, exploding it into a zillion pieces.

I do have a black B&D circular saw from the 80s. It's still my go-to saw, and it's been rocking steady with no repairs since day one.

It's funny that the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title was that color. Here's my dad's drill.

All the tools of that color as far as I remember were to differentiate consumer grade to professional grade of Black and Decker tool lines.

Wow. I've got an old U-153 jigsaw. I think it dates back to the early 70s? Anyways it's just polished metal not puke yellow.

I still have that circular saw , my wife bought it for me in 1969 when we were still in high school. She used S&H green stamps to buy it. I have always figured if it ever quits I will make some kind of desk lamp out of it.

Those old Black and Decker tools are awesome. I have a Super Sawcat that is second only to my Skil 77.

You wouldn’t happen to have the yellow sawzall would you? I swear tracking this tool down is next to impossible. Of all the used tools in existence the old yellow sawzall is as rare as finding gold.

I'm not surprised you can't find the sawzall. I went through two of them in one day back then. If any survive, it would be because they were never used. The other real piece of **** was the hand held jig saw. You could cut a complete circle with them without ever turning your hand.
