Old square

I bought a box of old(maybe antique) tools and there’s one that I don’t know what it was used for.I know it’s some type of square but I’ve never seen anything like it before.if any of you know what this was used for please LMK.

Possibly a layout tool (sheet metal work) to mark lines a set distance from the edge. Like a carpenters marking gauge.
