Old Two-Piece Cornwell Ratchet

I've had this thing for a few years now. STILL haven't made any headway in identifying it.






Further details:

1/2"-Drive, 20 Teeth.
Handle is marked "28 Cornwell 15".
Head is marked "29 Cornwell".
Action is crisp.

What do you folks make of this?

Year range would be 1926 - 1935 I would guess.

That's the first year they had offered sockets and ratchet up until alloy artifacts dates their 1935+ ratchets they have listed. The direction switch is the same as the 1935+ ones.

It is 1/2"-drive. Thought it might have been 7/16", but it's not quite that exotic.

Indirectly, and as part of a more general query, yes. So far as I gather, they are still on break. This is one of the tools I intend to send their way when they become active.

It was called the "4 in 1" Ratchet. There were 3 handle lengths to choose from. Short,medium,long. When combined with the head it would be a 10",12", or 15" ratchet.

It appears that this one is equipped with the longest of the optional handles. Measures 14-7/8" in length when snugly assembled.
