Outdoor Dimmer - High Wattage

Hi All -

Picked up 3 sets of *outdoor string lighting*. It's fairly decent gauge - 14AWG .
Went looking for high watt plug in dimmer with no success.

For those familar, with options out there exisist so I can ~dim~ these lights.
First thoughts that came to mind was the usual Lutron Credenza plug in style dimmers, but they don't support in the 500-600W range ...

Yeap. 130V 11W bulbs

Pretty much all dimmers for incandescent lamps are going to need to have some sort of cooling apparatus on them if they are high wattage. This will probably restrict you to using an in-wall type of dimmer. With those, you can find them up to 1500 watts and higher.
Keep in mind that none of the dimmer manufacturers gives a hoot about incandescent lights anymore. They're all working on LED dimmers....

Yeah....I figurered worst case scenario....I would need to make a ~dimmer box DIY with a real dimmer~ in it. I don't think ~LED~ bulbs are there yet for outdoor stringers. While I don't have any benchmarks on LED bulbs for indoor usage, I've ready too many experiences with various brands and 10 months - 2 years out of them. Warranty aside....which is somewhat a marketing point for LED manuf, and depending on the end user, whether they go out of their way to reach out to the manuf. for warranty replacement
