Yesterday I picked up a Parks Woodworking Machines bandsaw. Just been scouring the web looking for some information on it and haven't come up with too much. What I'd like to know is a year and model on it based on the serial number that I found on the tag.

They also made these for Craftsman, during the mid to later 60's. Different decals and such, but essentially the same saw. Look for the 18" model in the catalog.

Check "vintagemachinery.org"

Nice saw!

I've been trying since yesterday but it looks like their site is down. Had quite a few hits for their site on Google.
I fired it up briefly this evening, seems to run ok. Going to need some new bearings and a good cleaning and setup but so far so good!

Awesome, good luck with the saw! Yeah, I just noticed a few minutes ago that the site was down myself and started a thread here to see if anyone else was having issues loading it. Thanks for confirming.

Total Junk, I'll give you scrap value.

Nice score.

Well I certainly do appreciate one tool guy looking out for another............but....I made my bed, I'll lie in it. :lol_hitti
But seriously, I was so happy with it, I didn't even ask the wife and brought it home while she was there! It was well worth all the **** I'd get in!
