Photos loading backwards

Just in the last few days I have noticed that the photos being displayed in the opposite order that they are attached. Or they will display in the order I attached them, and then when I come back to the thread later, 5 minutes or an hour, they will be reversed. It's not that irritating, except when you are posting something informational and you're referring to Pic 1 and it's not Pic 7. Anybody else seeing this?

Okay, but first --- If you're looking for examples, it happened to me this morning and I thought it was just a one-time glitch. But I just made these two posts and all of the photos are displayed in the exact reverse order of how I attached them, except for the last photo, in both cases, for some reason.

weird, seems my first attampt both times loaded backwards, then next posts loaded fine. are you saying they will eventually reverse too?

Okay here's a test. Loading them 1 - oiler upright, 2 - oiler on its side, and 3 - oiler with spout removed.

They loaded correctly in the last test post so who knows what's happening.

Hummm… This usually happens with phone pics and the exif data in the pic being screwed up by the phone software, not the forum.

No problems with iOS photos that I can recreate… I assume you are using a phone? If so, what phone?

He's talking about the upload order of the pictures, not the orientation in the jpg.

Yes, order, not orientation. I loaded several photos in several posts yesterday. In all of them except my test post here in this thread (#9), the photos appear in the exact opposite order from the order in which I attached them. Again, not a big deal, except when it's instructional or informational and you're referring to your photos in the body of your post by the number they appear from left to right, i.e., Pic 1, or Pic 4, etc.

This could be related..., but ALL my "old" posts (from before the Big Software Upgrade/Change) were put in reverse order by the Big Software Upgrade/Change. A bunch of us noticed that immediately. The new software reversed them.

But it has been loading them in the order they are attached since then. Without fail. I only noticed this very recently. Maybe just yesterday.

I'll try another test. Dwarfy box wrenches on their sides (1), top (2), flipside (3), rolling seat top (4), side (5), front (6), bottom (7) and wheel closeup (8), and antique tank wrench (9). EDIT: Correct order from how they were attached.

Here is one set of the exact same photos that reversed yesterday. Okay, they are in the order I attached them. I attached them in the same order yesterday, but they ended up in the exact opposite order after I posted them, here. So, maybe just a glitch that will be hard to repeat. In the span of less than 30 minutes yesterday on this thread alone, the Cobbler experienced it, then didn't.

I think I discovered something that could be pertinent! If I hit the edit button in a post where the photos are appearing in reverse order, the photos appear in the correct order in edit mode. If I make an edit, any edit, change a word, add a word, etc, then hit Save, the photos are put in the correct order! Weird, huh?

Scratch that. Now they're back to reverse order.
