Cotter pin removal tool or radiator hose removal tools all look like what you are describing. Also there are smaller pick set sold by just about every tool company including stanley and sears.

i think it is that

if the screwdriver handle is bigger, then yes
it is much thicker than regular picks

anyone know which ones are good?

i like the mayhew ones, but cant find them anywhere
one of my buddys that works next to me has a sk, expert 2 handles, but cannot find it anywhere

i see snap on sells a set for 150, but thats too much

mac guy is bringing me a set for 135, but it is too much and it looked alittle cheap

any ideas?

is the mayhew set the same exact as the snap on?

they look to me like regular picks- does anyone own these sets?

i like the mayhew one, and price looks good- but they look like regular pick set

i am looking for the metal part to be thicker

are these what i am looking for and the pic looks smaller than they really are- or is there something else.

i need to put a lot of strength into these things- and from pic it looks like they will break.

The tool has less stress on it than a screwdriver, the tip goes under the hose and breaks the seal. I can't see how a Snapon would work or last any better than mine does for $2 with a lifetime warranty. ;)

OTOH I regularly use about 8 different picks, depending on what the job is.

Radiator hose pick.
Set of two double ended scribes / picks. Absolutely the most used pick.
Set of 4 smaller picks, straight, right angle, loop, and I forget.
Set of 3 full size handle, straight, right angle, and loop.

My favorite picks
