What's a decent brand for power tools these days?

Don't need commercial grade expensive stuff as it'll be rarely used.
Mainly buying to flaten out a hump in the floor in a connex.
Was set on something or forklift bent crossmembers.
I think would be a ton of work replacing crossmembers vs shaving the floor down a bit.

Porter Cable ok?

Wen has always made cheap ****.
The original WEN branded tools were made in the USA, and may have been decent enough, if not the quality of Black & Decker from the era, when B&D mostly made “Industrial” quality tools.
The current WEN brand, just uses the older name, while having nothing else to do with the older US brand.

If you live in the middle of Ohio I have why one from Ryobi you can try. It's still new in box so I can't speak to it. I own many regular hand planes. I haven't had cause to use the Ryobi since it was given to me by a friend.
