Glad I found this site, I'm new to garage planning. I'm building a 2-3 car garage with living space above onto my home soon, looking for a wide range of ideas on construction, heating, storage, workshop configuration, etc.
For hobbies, I restore classic British sports cars, wrench on my motorcycles and love to putz around in a garage or workshop. It must be in my blood. My grandfather, O.R. Keith, was a professional mechanic for 63 years (that's not a typo - worked for 63 years in auto repair!) and owned O.R. Keith & Son Garage, Roanoke, VA from 1943 to 1988 (the "& Son" was his son and my uncle, James L. Keith). I inherited his love for automobiles. And, I never met a garage I didn't like!
I love the smell of burnt gas, oil, tires and grease in an old garage. To me, there's nothing like it!
Thanks in advance to all for your input and suggestions.
Cheers!
