...I'm not a man of wealth and I have questionable taste.
I registered here last year after finding this site attempting to repair my my old floor jack.
After raising the family, I was closing in on retirement when life threw me a twist that resulted in an early retirement. The wife soon followed suit and now we're heading into the best years of our lives.
Part of our plan is to relocate closer back to our home turf a couple hours south of where we currently reside in far nor cal, to al little closer to mid far nor cal (I make a distinction about this as I now understand Stockton and Fresno claim nor cal status.
We've finally found a place to buy (talk about a tough time to find a decent home) and find ourselves planning improvements that will make our new place ours.
My principal hobby (besides family, hunting and fishing, home improvements, gardening and landscape and I can do only so much of those activities) is maintaining our vehicles and restoring cars and furniture (that will not be done in the shop I am now planning).
Thus, I find myself back here on the GJ seeing words of wisdom and lessons learned. I'm posting a rough plan I have for my new shop (the whip allows me to call it that), I'm not sure which forum I should use, but will figure it out now.
I'll appreciate any and all help and suggestions and will offer my help when I'm confident I might have something useful to contribute.
Great site, I'm looking forward to spending time here.
