Nice box joints, still nice and tight after well over 100 years.

A little Googling found a tiny bit about L. Gueutal. Early-to-mid 19th century maker of watchmaker's and jewelers tools. That's about it.

After I put the 76ers back together, I was struck, despite being a different model, by their resemblence in construction details and grip pattern to a pair of Boker USA slipjoints.
Oh, damn, I’ve got the pivot screw in backwards.
