Jewelers cutters as far as I can determine. Less than 5 inches long. Those squares are 0.5 inches.

Finally got around to cleaning up this estate sale grab, Witherby 8101’s … Nice lil set of smooth jaw pliers. Glad I saved them..

L. Gueutal, France. I think the M. G. (or C) is an owner's mark.



Nice box joints, still nice and tight after well over 100 years.

A little Googling found a tiny bit about L. Gueutal. Early-to-mid 19th century maker of watchmaker's and jewelers tools. That's about it.

Cleaning up small sidecutting slipjoints. Hidden “76” stamped near pivot, Barcalo-ish depressed diamonds grips. No other markings.

After I put the 76ers back together, I was struck, despite being a different model, by their resemblence in construction details and grip pattern to a pair of Boker USA slipjoints.
Oh, damn, I’ve got the pivot screw in backwards.
