Greetings,
Need some guidance for bathroom insulation inside an insulated pole building.
I have a 42x64x16 pole building being built with a 12’x10’x8’ room inside already framed up with electrical already ran. It is located on the southeast corner of the building. It will have a 2x6 wall down the middle separating a full bathroom and utility room. Each room is going to be hard wired for baseboard heaters. Weather here is humid summers and kinda cool winters like low of 15-20 degrees but nothing terrible. Located in Northern KY (Cincinnati). The walls of the entire building will have spray foam and the ceiling will have blown in insulation with insulated garage doors. Exterior has the wrap. Plan is to have radiant tube heater installed later this year. I haven’t decided if a mini split will be necessary for cooling. Going to see how it feels these next few months. I will have floor fans if needed.
The walls of the bathroom/utility room will share two sides of the building walls that will have spray foam. Those walls will be finished with metal and the ceilings will be metal. The exterior framed walls will be drywall on the inside. Exterior will be metal.
My question is should I bother insulating the bathroom walls and ceiling? If so is a vapor barrier needed on the walls and ceiling? Don’t want to do something that creates a moisture problem. The bathroom will have an exhaust fan.
Thank you all in advance for some guidance.
