Please share experience and recommendation for Epoxy and Polyaspartic installers in San Diego. I'm looking at Polyaspartic Urea: Perkins is using SpartaFlex and Concrete Coating is using Sundek. I'm leaning toward Polyaspartic Urea over Epoxy because I'm in a TownHome and want to minimize downtime for the garage and parking outside. I did see a thread from 2013 but it didn't discuss Polyspartic.

I also want to know who makes the best Polyaspartic Urea: SpartaFlex, Sundek, or other. I'm replacing the single layer Big Box store Epoxy the prior owner put on. No one will be surprised to hear Single layer big box store Epoxy peels if you look at it wrong or put hot tires on it.

I'm also open to Exoxy if it's a better choice and can make arrangements to have the garage empty for a few days.

The Polyaspartic Urea would be installed by a pro but I'd consider doing Epoxy myself (grind concrete, two layers, top coat, and five day project time).

Maybe consider interlocking floor tiles like our Solid PVC Supratile? Zero downtime, and zero chance of failure, snd no need to remove the old coating. Any handyman can install.

HP Spartacote produces a number of very good products. If you decide to hire a contractor, Perkins has a good reputation is San Diego.

Thanks Shea and Armopoxy. I'll glad to hear good feedback about Perkins and will give them a call. I've seen a mix of positive, ok, and negative reviews for Perkins. Many complaints about Perkins and contractors are about price or paying too much. I'm more concerned about a quality install and know it's worth it to pay for a solid contractor.

Polyspartic is appealing to me because my laundry is in the garage and I want to minimized the time it's disconnected and stored. I may rent a small storage container for the laundry and garage items to keep them clean and dry since they'll be outside.

That's great to hear! I'm looking to going with them as well.

did you end up going with perkins? how was the process and has it been holding up well?
