Here's a way you can reduce picture size for most uploading or email attachments. Maybe it'll help getting your pictures reduced to acceptable sizes for uploading. Most all versions of Microsoft Windows have a "Paint" program included. Click on "START". Next click on "SEARCH", then search in "PROGRAMS or FILES" for "Paint". It will show a list of items found. one will be "PAINT" Double click on the small ICON to the left of the word PAINT. This opens the PAINT PROGRAM.
When the paint program opens, click on "FILE" then "OPEN" and select the source of the picture you have stored on your computer. Once your picture is opened select "IMAGE" from the 6 choices (top left of the screen on my version). Clicking on IMAGE will display a drop down screen with 6 choices. You select "Stretch/Skew". Another drop down screen will show and the 2 top choices are "horizintal and then vertical". Reduce the percentages from 100% in each box to something near 45%. Both boxes should be reduced the same amount otherwise the picture will be distorted. That should reduce your picture size to ~ 60 kb. Experiment with it because different digital cameras load different size pictures. If the picture is too large or small select "EDIT" from top left of screen and click on "UNDO". This puts picture back to original size. Once picture is reduced to size you want, Select "FILE, and SAVE"
I usually save with new name thus retaining the original picture in case I need it to do other work. Good luck...hope I havn't confused you with my explanation. ZRWON
