I have a barn that I'm converting into a shop. The floor in part of the building has stalls for horses that have concrete footers but a dirt floor. There's a dirt section 12x12 and then two 5x11 sections. It's about an 8" border between them all. I would like to pour the floor and have it appear to be on solid slab, at least between the stalls...front to back is no big deal.
The way I see it, the options are to:

The way I see it, the options are to:
- bust up the tops of the footers and pour over everything.
- Pour within the footers, I guess I'll need something to help with expansion
- Find a way to epoxy over the whole floor when I'm done with a thin set
