It would, but you could probably sell it for more than a charger that would work better would cost.

I'd use it. A new one with electronics won't work unless you hook up a 12V battery in-line. That one looks old enough it doesn't have electronics. Why sell it? It's gorgeous and will bubble up the washing soda pretty well.

I made one with a 110VAC to 12VDC converter that I got from the Surplus Center in Nebraska. Total cost was $11. It only puts out 6 amps, and I've often wished I had more amperage, but it is what it is. This picture was taken by a buddy of mine I loaned it out to--I have no idea why he put the baking soda in the picture.

I've used it a lot. Here is it in action:

I learned to call this process spooging, and it works great. Here are two '53 Chevy rear wheel cylinders that I pulled from a Bel Air that had sat out in the woods for 20+ years. They both looked like the one on the left before spooging.

Dual purpose (battery charger / electrolysis power supply) is what I have.

My charger is like the left hand Cman in this pic and has a full manual mode. Works well. I can't imagine you don't have a charger, but is it able to go to manual mode?

I just started using a laptop power cable. Cut off the end, attach some clips and plug it in. Works great and keeps them out of the landfill.

I just hooked up a desktop PC power supply. The only live feeds I could find was ~5v.
But they do technically have 3v, 5v, and 12v power? Not sure if I need to trigger the 12v somehow?

If interested in that method, go check a Ewaste or Computer Refurb/waste company. Paid $5 donation for each.

It works, but seems a bit tepid...
