I'm looking for one for home use. Only driving a few dozen fence posts per year, not commercial or industrial usage, and I wouldn't even consider one of these except I sometimes have to drive into really hard packed ground (and I can't wait for a rainy day to help me out). For that little use I'm steering clear of the $1000 and up drivers and looking at the $300 range machines which APPEAR to all be awfully similar, whether from the big box stores or online. The only differences seem to be the diameter of the post socket on the bottom, 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, 38cc vs 52cc. Otherwise they look like they come from the same factory! Has anyone bought or used one of these and and have some ideas of features needed or pointless?

I have a couple gas powered pounders and a hydraulic one- skid steer mounted. That said, I’ve heard ones like those posted above work well and you don’t have to worry about maintenance on a gas powered rig.
