Precision Measuring Tools &etc, Craftsman and Others

I bought these in a box at an antique store because I could not help myself. I don't really need them. Not even sure what some items are. Some of the pieces are engraved with previous owner's name. Not pictured but included are quite a few Allen wrenches. A slip of paper in the box (an old work order) was dated 1966, so I am guessing that helps to date these tools, which do look about that old.

$60 for the lot.

Good use of the picture to show what you want, IMO!

Both of those items are stamped "Craftsman USA." The most lower-left piece has mast of its plastic coating intact...the other is not coated with plastic.

I'd rather sell it all at once, but I'm not against changing my mind on that.

Would you like to PM me an offer, or have me come up with a price? I'm not naturally good at pricing items, I have to spend time looking at completed listings on eBay and the like to get a sense of fair cost.

The SEARS vernier caliper on the left is a General brand and was part of their economy automotive line. It sold for about $8.00 back in the 70's. It's made in the US, but is not a high precision tool. The other vernier is a Craftsman and was manufactured in several countries (Germany, Switzerland and Japan as I recall). It is a very high quality instrument, but no one knows, or wants to know how to accurately read a vernier caliper anymore.

Chances are that the protractor, calipers, and scales are General brand -- which was good quality. The "V" blocks, if they are Craftsman and of the same vintage, they could very well be made by Starrett or Lufkin

The height gauge looks a bit beat -- not much there to set value. The same goes for the plumb bob and feeler gauge.

That piece is part of the height gauge. As far as the piece on the far right is concenred, I can't get enough resolution to accutratly ID it. It does look to have a precision machined center on the end for accurately aligning in a fixture or lathe. No idea what it might be used for -- sorry.
