Programming Remote for Garage Door

Just reprogrammed two remotes for my Lift Master opener.

Now things are such that the remote has to be within a few feet of the opener in order to close the garage door. With regards to opening, the remotes can open the door from a long distance.

Any feedback is appreciated in order to understand on how to improve

By chance do you have led lights in the unit? I have noticed that certain led bulbs have an effect on the range when illuminated

If a ceiling mount opener I suspect that the door itself is interfering with the signal when in the up position. Try reorienting the antenna on the opener.

Turns out I did put in LED light bulbs into the unit recently. Everything worked fine after removing them from the unit. Lesson learned. lol

Thanks much for the replies y'all.

Happy to help! There are some LED’s that work. I think they have them listed on the lift master website

IMHO, LED Lamps (also known as light bulbs) cause radio interferance. Generally the interference is minimal, but sometimes not.

The OP's post is a case of harmful interference.
