Protect epoxy floor

Hello everyone,

I recently laid down an epoxy floor which looks great. I put the first down about 7 years ago. The first attempt looked great as well but eventually wore down over the years. Nonetheless, I am thinking to laid down a rubber mat of some sort where the cars are parked and would like to get some suggestions? Is indoor/outdoor carpeting a good idea? Thanks!

Just thought of mat under car and any dirt below would be like sand paper. Adding a clear would be better for protection, UV protection and every now and then as needed you could apply a floor wax.
