Proto speed wrench?

Found this “speed wrench “ and I was wondering about how extra heavy it’s built. It has a swivel head which is also different than my other speed wrenches. Also the length of throw from the axis is 1/3 shorter than my 1/2” Craftsman speeder. Is there a special application for this type wrench? It seems overkill for a wrench that can only be used by hand. I can’t imagine anyone using this improperly by adding leverage with a cheater pipe.

It is essentially a flex handle that can be used as a speed wrench. I posted this picture of my Plomb version on the Plomb thread. It would probably be very useful for changing tires.

That makes so much more sense to me now. I was trying to imagine someone getting an enormous amount of torque on this. The flex head would allow that leverage to supply the torque. Seems so obvious now. I feel that awkward feeling like when I was waiting for the stop sign to give me a signal to go again.
