Is Hyde still the industry reference for Putty Knives and Non-Marring Scrapers made from composite materials?
I think there is some company making these in Canada as well that is highly regarded.

Thanks very much for ideas on this subject.

I got some Pittsburgh HF super scrapers they claimed lifetime warranty even when they break and I figure it’s plastic so it’s going to break. but I think I need to bring all of them back in just to warranty one which kind of ***** tbh

I guess Bojo is the manufacturer behind the Snap-On branded ones? Love my PBN3.

No scratching, no indentations.

For my non-marring scraping needs, I use this set. Maybe not the right choice if you‘re looking for an all-around non-marring scraper, but for my needs this is perfect. Non-marring blade when I need it, but other options as well.

You probably have some, but these inexpensive plastic bladed scrapers are worth having in my opinion.

They’re a bit light duty, but good for scraping gasket / sealant from alloy surfaces.

Sadly, I have rather more scraping requirements in my life than I would choose.

Both the Bojo and the Wurth look good. Thanks Knurled Nut and Olli.

I’d seen the Bojo, but not the Wurth.

Don’t forget about credit cards. You can sharpen them on a sander to be as sharp as knives. Depending on what you are doing, a slight camber can be nice. They are also effective as putty knives.

I recently bought new plastic pry bars. Bojo make many different sets, differentiated by stiffness and indicated by color. I bought the dark blue ones which are quite stiff, just not as stiff as the black Snap On ones.

I’d seen the Bojo, but not the Wurth.
As we know, Wurth largely rebrands. That scraper was also made for NAPA, branded as Carlyle, but had a longer reach shaft and a striking cap. Taiwan COO IIRC. Sadly, I believe it has been discontinued with the change to the new green line.
@Wamsutta here had a fond liking of this tool.

I have seen this scraper rebranded for others as well but can’t recall whom off the top of my head.

The storage box provided with the Wurth seems really nice.
Thanks for sharing @Nobody-named-Olli

Of course, labeled/branded - I have no idea who the original manufacturer is. That particular set was a special/ promo offer that came just at the right time.

It has since become a regular item: # 0714 663 380

All blades can be purchased individually.

Kind regards,
Olli
