I just purchased a Quincy QT-54 from Northern Tool. My old was a 40 gallon horizontal on a 1x4 frame sitting on a concrete slab. The vertical 60 gallon tank has 3 legs--2 in front and 1 in the middle rear. I am looking at anti-vibration pads. I'm not really inclined to mount it to my slab. I was thinking about putting 4x4s running sideways between the front legs and another in the rear extending out each direction. That would stabilize it side-to-side. Then tie it to some studs so it cannot tilt away from the wall. With all of that said, are anti-vibration pads needed if I am lag screwing it to the wood 4x4s?
Thank you, Tom
