Quick connect fittings on garden hoses--and every widget that attaches to them--are wonderful! I recommend doing this.

The problem is finding good quality quick connect fittings. Those I bought from Lowes, HD and Amazon are garbage--none are brass and so corrode within a season.

I post here in hopes of getting product recommendations for a quality brand of all-brass quick connect fillings suitable for water.

Only Geka, I mentioned in another topic. Nearly all professionals use them here and they're hermaphrodite, like the Storz you don't require a male and female part. You can connect any coupler of the same size. No moving part, single massive brass part and the seal is replaceable.

Only drawback is that it can require some strength to handle but that mostly depends on the seal and also the original is machined more precisely that the copies.
