Question about color chips

I have just coated my garage floor with SW Armorseal 1000 - I am going to add a second coat, and put in color chips to help with the appearance.

Would it be best to put a clearcoat over the color chips? Or just sprinkle them in the wet coating?

Thanks in advance!

I did a clearcoat and liked the way it turned out. If I were to do it over, I'd use more chps and put on a 2nd coat of clear... maybe even a 3rd.

Sprinkle them on top of the wet coat, and then seal them with a clear coat, or two.

Why coat over them? The flakes are softer then the epoxy and they'll wear down over time, that will leave small depressions. Depressions that will catch and hold dirt or liquids. So not coating them won't effect the performance of the coating, but it can effect the appearance and make it more difficult to clean.
