Hello,
I am in the process of planning a garage. It is going to be craftsman style. I am going to have to use rafters that are on 16" centers. My question is how to finish the gable ends. I want to have a 24" overhang on the building. Most craftsman buildings that I have seen have an overhang that is the same as the rafter spacing, where there is one rafter flush with the exterior wall, and then another where a facia would commonly be. In my case, I am not sure what would look best. I have never seen a craftsman with lookouts in the open soffit.
Any input or photos would be great.
Thanks,
Adam
