I have some lint & other spots on my floor and tried sanding them down. It dulls up the finish after doing that.
Is there a trick to "buffing" the spot to get it to match the rest of the floor?

I don't know of any other than recoating the area with some epoxy.

You could always apply a clear epoxy suitable to go over your current floor after sanding.

i have 6 spots about a square inch apiece where the second coat didnt cure. So I scraped off the second coat, and i'm going to call epoxy-coat for a touch-up kit.

other than re-applying epoxy, a clear coat will work, but the touch-up with epoxy will look better.
