hey I've been stalking this website for a while now and have a question about how to tell what kind of wire nuts to use on what wire size and how to tell what size the wire is for the wire nuts. Im not to experienced with wiring in the house but they may because i am only 17. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The packaging for the wire nuts should say the range of wire gauges that fit with a given color of a wire nut...and how many wires of that gauge will fit in the wire nut. Also, most wire strippers have a spot to check a wire's thickness/gauge.

Welcome!

The approved wire combinations will be listed on the back of the box.

The wire will be marked with it's gauge on the insulation, although it might be difficult to read.

Also many (larger) wire nuts have wire sizes marked on the ends. There is a semi-standard color code as well which may be helpful.
