Hi,

I have some questions about my newly purchased racedeck. I just took receipt of 400 sq feet of the diamond pattern in the green color, now here is my questions, I have never used racedeck before so I have not seen a close up, my tiles have what appear to be mold marks…in another life I worked with injection molding, the marks looks like heavy tool marks from the tool that milled out the mold pocket that haven’t been polished at all. These are cosmetic and do not appear to affect the structural integrity, nor do they seem to be an ‘after’ manufacture defect, it literally looks like the mold was not polished after machining, the impression are numerous highly visible.

So the question is: Is this a normal feature of the product?

Hi
The 'swirl' marks you are referring to are part of the design. RaceDeck diamond is intended to look like aluminum diamond plate with a satin sheen. It is very obvious in the alloy, graphite and other pearlesant colors when the light hits the floor and reflects off it. What custom color Green did you get?

It is the green on the main website. It is not listed as an "official" color but the salesperson said it was always in stock.

Okay so what I gather is that you guys are intentionally going for the Milled alumunum look. Well then that makes more sense, but for every other color than silver/gray it would look kind of weird.
