Any issues with the tubing and control joints? Not sure how much the concrete can move before it impacts the tubing. Or am I being paranoid?
Also, I read somewhere that the wire/rebar reinforcement should have a couple inch break where the control joint will be. Anyone agree with this? (24x26 slab)
So far this is my plan, which I hope to start this week.
Plate compact the ground (about 1.5 feet was removed and now is mostly virgin soil with high clay content). Four inches of #57 stone followed by another plate compaction. Six mil vapor barrier. Two inch high density sytrofoam up sidewall and under slab. (The sidewall insulation will be tapered so the top of the slab will look like it meets the wall instead of having a 2" styrofoam perimeter). #4 rebar with a 2'x2' grid on chairs with the PEX sandwiched in between. And finally 4" of concrete.
Since the insulation will go up the sidewall do I still need the expansion material that gets fastened to the perimeter of the inside wall?
