Hi All, I am remodeling the kitchen and removing a wall to increase the size.
The wall is one that is part of the garage and after removing it I am left with a small 1 inch drop followed by a 18inch step and another 4 inch drop to the garage floor.
I wish to obviously level this all off, but although a pretty good handyman with wood, electrics and bricks have never laid a floor.
Do I just put lots of crushed rocks etc down and pummel it then put a good layer of concrete on top or do I need to put in rebar for structural support.
The area I wish to raise is 13 ft x 6 ft x 4-5 inches. Obviously any help about how to go about completing this project will be greatly appreciated.
