Recessed lighting electrical question

I'm planning on installing recessed lights in my basement during a remodel, yes its not a garage but one could have the same problem. Living in the Chicagoland area we use conduit only. If I put up some recessed lights and run conduit to the recessed light junction box and make the connections then cover it up with drywall I will have hidden a junction box making it non accessible. So what is the correct way to do this?

You have a couple of options...

1. You can buy recessed lights where the 'can' part is removable, so you can pull the bulb, pull the can, and then access the junction box built into the top of the can (assuming you don't need junction boxes in other locations).
2. You can build your junction boxes to have their face flush with the drywall (or behind a mud ring), and then just put a cover over them, so they're not hidden. If you get a flat cover and paint it ceiling cover, they're hardly noticeable.
