Recessed wall panels and puck lights

[C2 Turbo]

New build under construction and have few recessed panels (stairways & a hallway) that needs some puck lights.

I have exhausted all my searches and have finally decided to ask you all for some help

I personally think LED's would be just too bright and not sure about the incandescent one's as they might be too yellow.

I am looking for puck lights that are dimmable so that I can adjust the lights accordingly

What about led strip lights,or just do a search on under cabinet lights

Why not just a small recessed housing, then figure out the insert later. Lots of choices, for example.

I rather a recessed than a puck, since you see the edge of the puck but a recessed is...well.

LED tape lights, no doubt.
Variety of colors, controllable, dimmable. But get a good name brand, not some **** off of ebay.

C2, I was considering doing something similar building lit alcoves in our basement. My plan was to use LED strip lights, because I'm really happy with the ones that we put under our kitchen cabinets. They are hardwired, dim quite low with a Lutron dimmer switch (not all the way to zero, but close), and the power supply is hidden in the unfinished basement. My plan was to cut the strip into sections about 1' long, connect them via low voltage wiring in the wall, and put them all on one dimmer.

They aren't cheap, but I wanted something that put out a lot of light at full power, and also dim well. I have been very happy with them. The "Colorbright Series" would probably be more than enough light for alcoves.
