Hi there,

I recently added a Record 100 to my collection but can't seem to find information about it. I have several of the old Record catalogues, but alas it is not in there (#14, #17 do not list it). It is roughly the size of a No.3, even though the jaws are closer to 4". The slide is u-shaped as opposed to rectangular like all the other Records.

Does anyone know about this vise? It has "Made in England" on the side, so it must pre-date the Irwin takeover.

Thanks!

RVF: maybe if you post up your Record with actual pictures of your vise on the main vise thread maybe some of the members from across the pond might share a catalog page with you. in fact i think CrazyWrabbit has the record vice catalogs in his sig line and i posted a few things today on this thread so take a look there.

The 100 is a light duty vice, if you compare to a No3 (which is a 4") you can see its lightly built. They are well made though.
