Looking at this heater for my 24x24 garage: http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...16_47716?cm_sp=RVC-_-Category Page-_-Products
Now, I have a 10 foot high ceiling, non insulated because the upstairs is a loft/studio. The walls are insulated with R11, and OSB covered. It has barn doors with a gap between them all around so it can be drafty. Now, I have 2 smaller propane forced air/torpedo heaters, but even both of them together don't add up to 200,000 BTU. Not to mention they are loud as well. I thought maybe one of these Red Dragon models in the empty stall would be sufficient to work on my car in the other stall. Granted I have to manually turn it on and off, but this garage is hopefully only temporary (until the other is built) so I don't want to spend too much for heat. Besides, the ins. co. made me remove the woodstove that was already in there due to me building the new house within 30' from it. Opinions on this heater are welcome. Right now it's -10F wc....warmest it's been all day, and it's only December, lol.
