Maybe I should put this on thereifixedit.com.

What the hell, it works though.

The story is...the heater came with the place, and it works fine. The house furnace heats up the garage some anyway, so it's only used when it's cold and I'm out there. However, it has no fan, so that corner always got hot while the opposite one stayed cool.

So...I built this. This was all stuff I had laying around, only thing I need to buy is the proper 90* elbow for the top, instead of the pvc pipe. I'll eventually put an outlet in there, for now an extension cord works.

If you're worried about wood being there, don't. I can keep my hand on it when the heater is going full bore.

The blower is powerful enough with just that elbow on top, it throws plenty of heat across the garage. It ***** enough that very little heat escapes by the cabinets.

So...after an elbow, it'll be a $4 solution.:bounce:

Looks like a good solution! We used to do similar stuff where we had a wood stove in the basement and used fans to push hot air up the laundry chute to the 2nd floor.

Here's the rest of it. Plain old adjustable 90* elbow, and a dryer vent flapper to keep the creepy crawlies out of it, since it would be a pain to clean. I just cut/sanded the mounting flange off the flapper until it had a tiny lip left to seat on the pipe.

When it gets colder, I'll maybe extend the pipe further across the ceiling, for now it heats pretty evenly as is, though.

Don't stop there - I can vision Ts with turn downs, you could stick some of the landscape drain cover in them to look like diffusers. LOL.
