Reed 204 dynamic jaw removal?

I forgot to get pics, but I brought home a Reed 204 the other day. Started taking her apart for a clean, lube & paint job but cannot remove the dynamic jaw.
This vise has a split collar at the main screw (left in place), a set screw (which I removed) and I took the static jaw off the swivel base.
Unwound the screw all the way until it's no longer engaging the main nut - dynamic jaw does not come out. A few gentle taps with a brass drift & hammer didn't do it, either.
Do I need to use a bigger hammer or are there steps I'm missing, here?

Soak the split nut for a while and give it a few whacks. It should start to move. They can be rusted pretty good.

is it mushroomed from being beat on and smashed up over the years? Even just a ding or two might be enough to hang up

A pic of as far as I've gone.
So it sounds like once the screw is wound out the jaw should just come out..? No signs of abuse but I'll investigate further.

Bonafide rocket science... The slide was a bit sticky with old grease, dissolved paint & very mild surface rust. Plastic mallet, scraper, sand paper, a bit of white grease sprayed on it... we're good.
So, yeah. Once the screw is undone, it should all come apart. Set screw on the front of the slide, drift & hammer for the split collar, drift & hammer for the lash adjuster post thingie (from the bottom) and again for the main nut.
