Reed Vise 23 Identification

Hey Everyone, I was cleaning out my grandpa’s garage and came across this vise.

Does anyone know how old it is or have any other info on it?

Thank you, the closest I found is a 23 1/2 in the 1974 catalog but I can’t find anything on the no. 23.

It is a cute little homeowners vise, not a machinists Reed. I have one in a bucket of Purple Power for the last year or so, I will probably get around to it in another month of so. Not worth a whole lot, but probably one of the best of the homeowners vises

You can get a parts list for it here, which gives me the impression it’s not terribly old. Hmm, maybe not a 23 on that sheet.

Matt. That is one of the best size vise to have in a shop. And the swivel base is a big plus to me. I mount mine over hanging and swivel the vise out of the way. And if it were my grandpa's vise it would be priceless. Welcome to our Garage.
