I got lucky a couple weeks ago and got this nice Wilton bandsaw for a whopping $75. It runs but when I got it home I commenced to giving it a nice cleaning which then turned into taking it all apart. I kept finding small problems which led me further down the rabbit hole. I plan to repaint it, the original color was that Wilton blue so I searched and saw Rustoleum hammered light blue seems to be a good match.
The main questions I still need answered are:
-Can anyone identify the model for me? You can make out the 2 holes on the body where the tag used to be but it's long gone. I found a #3Z990 but it's not exactly the same.
-Can anyone tell me a good match for the orange on the covers? The belt cover is in very bad shape so I thought I'd paint it too.
-Can anyone tell me what type and how much oil to put in the gearcase?
-The gearcase had a cork gasket. Is it worth replacing, or can I just seal it with RTV?
Thanks in advance!
