Removing adhesive before epoxy

I recently moved into a house that has indoor tile laid down in the garage. I am not exactly sure but it looks like composite vinyl. I am in the process of removing the tile and the concrete underneath looks like it is in good shape but still has a ton of adhesive on it. What will be the best way to remove the adhesive so I can epoxy the floor after? I am scared to use adhesive remover and ruin the chances of epoxy sticking later.

Any other tips for applying epoxy as I have never done it before?

Can be grinded off as per comment above, or use our Mastic Remover/Softener..works great. Just apply the product to the floor, let it dwell and soften, then scrape up the adhesive and toss cat litter on it to encapsulate it and make it easy to shovel up for disposal.
