Removing adhesive before epoxy

I recently moved into a house that has indoor tile laid down in the garage. I am not exactly sure but it looks like composite vinyl. I am in the process of removing the tile and the concrete underneath looks like it is in good shape but still has a ton of adhesive on it. What will be the best way to remove the adhesive so I can epoxy the floor after? I am scared to use adhesive remover and ruin the chances of epoxy sticking later.

Any other tips for applying epoxy as I have never done it before?

Here are some pictures of what I am working with:

Awesome. Thank you guys!

I am new to the forums. Can I rent this from somewhere locally or what is the best way to purchase one?
