Hello,
I have a 50,000BTU forced air kerosene heater that I am repainting due to rust and pealing. I was wondering if anyone knew how hot the case of the heater gets? I would like to repaint it red/white/blue but can not find Rustoleum Hi-Temp paint in Red. So I wondering if normal Rustoleum (200 degrees max temp) would work. I would really like to powder coat but nobody around will do such a small one time job.

I have a 125K BTU model and I can put my hand on the outer shroud without burning it. It's warm but not too hot to touch.

Fire yours up for 10 minutes and see how it feels.

Go to the auto parts store and get some engine paint.
