So about 2 weeks ago I told my Matco dealer that I was interested I'm some Redback boots. He said he didn't have any on the truck to try on but if I told him my size he'd order me a pair. I gave him the size and he converted it into the Australian size and got them ordered.
Last week he shows up with the boots and I try them on. I tell him they're a little tight and he says "Oh they take about 10 days to break in." I was skeptical so I asked him if I could just try them for the week and he said yes.
3 days and I was limping because they were rubbing my calf so badly. I refused to wear them after the 3rd day. I put my old boots back to use.
I'm a little worried though because in my haste to set the hoist while I was wearing the Redbacks, I scuffed up the toes a bit. I'm not sure how my dealer will handle it because there is no way I'm paying top dollar for boots that I can't even wear. He's a nice guy, but I can't help but get the feeling that I'm gonna get burned on this. Anyone on here had a similar experience? How did it pan out for you?
