Rockwell mod 564 belt sander

This sander has a tracking problem. I can adjust the tracking knob so the belt runs true, but when running, the tracking knob moves causing the belt to wander off track. Any fixes out there.

Duct tape

Use the duct tape to put a crown on one of the rollers, or put a jam nut on the locking knob.

maybe a star washer will keep it from turning . also a few divots in the threads to tighten the knob so it doesn't turn as easily

I have an old rockwell handheld belt sander with tracking problems too, you just have to keep fiddling with the adjustment. I'll have to try out a bit of duct tape to crown the wheel...
